Voting Counts

That’s counting of votes for the elections well under way albeit slowly for the 108 seats up for grabs across 18 constituencies for the Northern Ireland Assembly.

Some ballot papers had been lost, some got mixed up, tables have collapsed and ballots got wet but counting goes on.
We asked our own poll about what riders thought about voting for a candidate if they had – the candidate – a positive out look on motorcycling?
Once the results are in for the Assembly we will be resending the survey to all the elected candidates.

We asked our own poll about what riders thought about voting for a candidate if they had – the candidate – a positive out look on motorcycling?
Well it looks like riders are voted out, if they voted at all in the elections, with a poor turn out for our poll.
Then again our survey to candidates, 218 of them, also received a poor turn out but we received some surprising messages and messages of support.
However once the results are in for the Assembly we will be resending the survey to all the elected candidates.
We want to know what they think of motorcycling!
As winners and losers are announced we also look with interest to next week to see who the ministers will be for the Department Of the Environment (DOE) and the Department for Regional Development (DRD), both who deal with motorcycle issues we are concerned with.
